Help with ideas for the Music Appreciation class honors project / paper?
I am currently a student at Community College, seeking to transfer to a university from autumn 08. I am enrolled in the honors program at my school and the need for a project (usually a paper when I have done in other categories), for my music appreciation class. Honors Other projects I've done in other categories include: writing a biography on page 3 (history) speed reading "Food Nation" … answer questions in each chapter … write an article on page 2 the book … and have a discussion about sitting down with my instructor (economy class) by writing a 5-6 page paper on a topic related to food (I chose heart disease, diabetes, childhood obesity, etc.) and how to take nutrition classes to help educate about these issues (nutrition class) As you can see, some are more time consuming others. Usually the instructor tells you what to do, but what kind of Music Appreciation want to go with my own idea, which is proving quite difficult. Some idea? 
You could do a job on Hildegard von Bingen. It was an incredible musician in his time (1098-1179), and was very intelligent. During this time women were not recognized, however, Hildegard advise kings and popes. She led an extraordinary life and his music was beautiful. Anyway, this is only an idea … Good luck!
