Yes totally agree! I know people probably say that the country is getting a bit like the older brother and the government controls everything. But what better way to discourage obesity tax all things crap. View super size me, shows how much damage it can do all that crap. Who wants a nation of Fat people? I think people end up going to the fast food option because it requires no effort to prepare, it's cheap and just an easy way to get food. There are some foods that are really delicious and good for you, give me a character fillet grilled chicken salad any day of the week. If it was a tax that would go a long way to improve things. I do not think McDonald's food is as bad as a pack of cigarettes but, so maybe that's why there is a difference.
