Ok, so thanks for opening! Want to be an equine veterinarian. What are some tips that I do to prepare? I know advanced math and science, but what else. I a lot of experience with horses and, indeed, just got my first horse a few days ago. Every day a new disease research and seek variety of symptoms, treatments, timing of life, etc. .. I'd love to be too clever and I still have a while until college. I voleteered every day in my barn in the summer for almost 4 hours each day and have done over the past 3 summers. If you have any advice please let me know! Thank you! ♥
One of the very best things you can do is volunteer with a local equine veterinarian. To be effective and useful, learn a lot and looks much better on an application for the VET schools if it can obtain a letter of recommendation from a doctor in the specialty they wish to follow. Do everything and anything you can with the horses and document everything! Good luck!
