Question for the anti-evolutionists?
Humans are susceptible to scurvy and heart disease due to vitamin deficiency C, as they lack an enzyme needed to convert glucose into vitamin C. This is known to be the result of a genetic mutation believed to have occurred does million years. However, dogs, cats, goats and other animals are not susceptible to scurvy, because they have the genetic defect and therefore lack the enzyme needed to produce vitamin C. Because they claim that evolution is false and that God deliberately every detail of human beings and has created us in our current form, how explain a serious genetic defect introduced deliberately by God? What do you suggest was the purpose of God in creating human beings susceptible to scurvy?
Disclaimer: I am not an anti-evolutionists! Without vitamin C deficiency that could not have evolved at all. The evolution occurs in small populations who are under stress. Any mutation that provides a reproductive advantage are more likely to reproduce if the tension on the rewards that benefit the population. Given that vitamin C deficiency is endemic to all great apes, humans not only that same proto deficiency puts them at greater risk when environment began to change. This resulted in a higher turnover and great benefits to the fittest.
