Canine heart disease â € "How Common Heart Murmurs in dogs could be the result of the Convention
If your dog is diagnosed a common problem of heart murmur, may be a sign of canine heart disease.
According to the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, is a heart murmur, blood flow to the heart, which is abnormal. Some heart murmurs are completely normal, while others, like those heard in Older dogs can be a sign that some form of heart disease is common. The most common diseases in dogs with heart failure are:
1. Birth defects that appear when a puppy is young.
2. Degenerative valvular disease (leaky heart valves), which affect mostly older or middle aged dogs.
3. The loss of heart muscle tissue which is usually seen in young dogs or middle-aged largest dog breeds.
Detecting the disease
Heart disease may not appear or be detected until it reaches a point where their experience of dog with heart failure, collapse or even sudden death. However, the dog owner, your responsibility is to be alert to signs such as difficulty breathing, coughing, exercise intolerance, or swelling of the abdomen (caused by retention water).
Canine heart disease is most apparent in the type of specific information on the breed of your dog, age, chest radiographs, measures blood pressure and ECG readings. For a definitive diagnosis, an ultrasound of the heart of your dog is necessary.
Treatment
Treat your dog to good health depends entirely on the stage of disease and the severity with which it has affected other parts body. If your puppy is young and has a birth defect, can be removed surgically.
Heart disease is acquired later in your life dog requires strong management and lifestyle changes in life. These changes include maintaining a healthy weight, exercise more (or reduced activity, depending on the condition of your dog), cardiac special diets and medications that can be used to reduce stress on the heart of your dog status.
The prognosis for dogs with canine heart disease may vary. Some dog may be the chance to be successful long-term attention. Others may have a shorter life period of a few weeks to several years. It is important to note that the first condition of your dog is evaluated, the easier it is for the treatment and the chances are greater that your dog or puppy will enjoy a long life and healthy.

congenital heart disease patients require more than one cathetization heart?
I do research for a book I am writing about a victim of a congenital heart disease and I was wondering if people with this condition have more than one cathetization heart. All information for people with heart disease would be very appreciated, although not relevant to this issue. Thank you. x
